Sure, simplicity does have its place, but when it comes to different feats of engineering, it’s always going to be about building something that is bigger, faster, or in some way superior to its predecessor. Otherwise, how would we have progress happen at all?

This time, we check out a vessel that claims to be the fastest ship in the world. Now, with a top speed of right around 65 mph, this most certainly isn’t the fastest boat out there but as far as big ships go, I think that it takes the cake. “This is certainly the fastest ship in the world,” said Incat managing director, Kim Clifford. “Of course there are a few speed boats that could surpass 58 knots, but nothing that could carry 1,000 passengers and 150 cars.”

I’d be inclined to take Clifford’s word on that one. I don’t see too many machines at 324-feet long that can accommodate 3600 square feet of shopping and also go as fast as your average car on the highway. This thing really is a massive machine and it incorporates all of the amenities of home all while having the ability to get you to your destination in a hurry!

Put yourself on board of this vessel down in the video below that tells you all about what you can expect to see when you walk on one of the fastest ships that you will ever lay eyes on. Being on something that big that’s moving that fast really has to be one heck of an adventure at the end of the day.
